Life...

Wow it has been so long since I have been on here.  Some how life picked up its pace and months seem to fly by.
I have met some great Christians here and I am need of some encouragement.  You know those seasons when you feel like God is so far away you cant reach Him... Those seasons when your prayers seem to crash on the ceiling...  I know every season has a reason but honestly this one has been long and exhausting.   How about this when you have a thought that honestly isn't even the way you think and then the enemy seems to get a hold of it now there is this battle you find yourself capturing the thought casting it down,  rebuking it and even repenting and around and around we go.  where is the VICTORY.
I know some of you have been there and I am thinking if you just got out of this season maybe you have some advice for me...
Under the Same Wings,

  1. Romans 6:11-13 addresses the problem. "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."

After the proclamation of Emancipation of the slaves, every slave was free to walk away, However, after the end of the civil war, many remained under the old masters domination, not realizing or exercising their freedom. Many Christians do the same, struggling with temptation rather than simply accepting deliverance. We don't need to rebuke or gain the victory, we just simply need to let the Holy Spirit lead us. Galatians 5:16 promises, "...Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." It really is that easy, but most of us never seem to get it.
