The crowds have left, family members have gone home, the casseroles have quit showing up and the boys are back at school.
I sit here at home with reality settling in. In the quite, stillness of that moment a mass amount of of emotions begin to come to the surface. I knell down in front of a table that we all put together, there are photo's of Cody, his sport trophies, his shoes, a little waterfalls, the Bible and a box which contains Cody's ashes. I begin to cry and cry out, "Lord why me, why Cody? Where do I go from here? Even a plead to take me cause this pain is more than I can bare."
I hear the softest voice full of compassion and love reply... "Why not you? You have a box of ashes and a seed... Gail, what are you going to do with the seed?
It is a disillusion and even a down right lie from the enemy that causes us to believe we are exempt from tragedy. So as the Lord asked me I would have to ask you. When tragedy strikes we are always left with a seed. What have you done with your seeds???
Something to think about...
Blessings
Hey, I just came across your blog by doing a bit of blog-surfing, and I'm glad I did! I've added myself as your newest follower, and I hope you'll check out my Christian devotional site as well: www.nocondemnation81.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

Too many have taught we shouldn't have these problems. Jesus said, "In the world ye shall have tribulation." The last part is really a blessing, "but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." As I've said before, it is abnormal not to have problems.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it neat how God gives the comfort?
Dakota, I tried to leave a comment on your page but for some reason it just wouldn't go through. Could be my lack of blogging skills lol. I did become a follower and look forward to your blogs.
ReplyDeletedfish you are so right I know when I came into the kingdom I thought the battles were over poof as we are so often taught. Well to my surprise they didn't... But as you said We have VICTORY on our side... Blessings
