Prayer Request

Good Morning,

I tossed and turned most of the night with a heavy heart and a busy mind.  There are a couple of situations I became aware of yesterday and would like some prayer agreement.

My son has a friend who have experienced a great tragedy yesterday morning.  His mom and dad where on their way to work,  the mom had seen a wounded animal on the road and pulled over to help.  As she was crouched down checking on the animal her husband noticed her car pulled over and look to see what was going on and did not noticed her in the road.  His vehicle hit her and she was instantly killed.  This happened on an Alaska road, Dark and foggy out.
I am reaching out to everyone in hope to engulf this family in prayer.

My second request is for my family.  I just learned a couple days ago that my father will be undergoing open heart surgery.  He finds out the date of surgery today.  I know that open heart surgery is a common procedure but it the first time for our family.  As soon as he gets the date I will be looking into gettin a ticket to get there.  Many things to fall into place.

In both these situations the people involved are not saved.  I have an opportunity to minister in both. I pray God opens their eyes as He is the only one to get them through.

Thanks for your time and prayers.
Blessings,  Gail

The Right Choice...

" Everyone must die once and be judged"  Hebrews  9:27
Eternity is to be taken very seriously.  A judgment is coming...
Here we go...  Our task here is to choose our eternal home...  You can afford to make some wrong choices here in life.  You could choose the wrong career and survive,  the wrong city and survive,  the wrong home and survive,  even the wrong mate and survive.  But there is only one choice that must be made correctly and that is you eternal destiny...
I pray all your choices are God directed but please don't let the things here keep you from making the right choice for you eternal life...  Eternity apart from God is Hell...  Honestly life here with out God is Hell...
Enjoy everyday along the way.

Daily Devotion...

Today's ReadingProverbs 27-292 Corinthians 10
Today's Thoughts: Winning the Battle
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Did you know that there is an ongoing battle for your mind? Many of us realize that there is a battle taking place in our minds, but the real battle is for control of our minds. This may sound a little like science fiction and weird but that is just what our enemy wants us to think. We are in a spiritual battle every day for control of our thoughts. For some of us, the intensity of conflicting thoughts can torment us for hours. For others of us, we have learned such mind control that we do whatever it takes to press down those thoughts. Regardless of how we handle them, they are still there.
The only effective weapons that we can use are the ones given to us by God. The weapons of the flesh, such as mental imagery or positive thinking will not bring us the victory that God has for us. Many people use such tools and claim dramatic results, but the deceptions are dangerous. Why? Because the focus and the power are placed completely on us, not on the Lord. The more power we think we have in ourselves, the more power Satan has over us. Scary thought? Let’s go for the real power and learn to bring our thoughts before Christ.
Are you in a battle today over things in your mind? There are two things you must incorporate into your daily routine. First, open your Bible and read at least one verse in the morning. Use a devotional or a Psalm or Proverb, whatever works for you. Second, take what you have read and ask the Lord to put His words into your mind throughout the day. If you will do this every day, in time you will begin to remember God’s words and will think about them because His Spirit will bring them to your thoughts. For those things that you are struggling with in your mind, start talking to the Lord about them. Pray that His words will bring comfort and hope instead of torment and guilt. Let the Lord fight for you by letting Him have the control over your mind instead of trying to handle it yourself.
Our mission is to evangelize the lost and awaken the saved to live empowered lives by the Work of God and His Holy Spirit. Daily Disciples Ministries makes a difference for the kingdom of God by teaching and training believers how to be in God's Word, how to pray and how to walk with Jesus every day, as His daily disciple.

IT'S NEVER JUST FOR ME. HOPE THIS SPEAKS TO YOU..

My morning devotion wanted to share with you.
                           SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT...

Think back to the last time you had a decision to make and were unsure of what to do.
" did you ask the Lord? What was His answer? Did you respond promptly, without doubt or procrastination?"
So many times we ask for the Lords direction when all we really need is to clear up our doubts.
THE LORD HAS ALREADY GIVEN US DIRECTION...
Read Acts 9:13-15a

Feeling stuck?  What was the last thing God spoke to you that you haven't followed through with...

Be Bless and let's grow...

If you have a child in Heaven this is for you on Mothers day.

Dear Mr. Hallmark card maker

I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must ...appear
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here.
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card
A card of love for my mother, as this day for her is hard.

There must be some mistake I thought, every card you could imagine
Except I could not find a card, from a child who lives in heaven.
She is still a mother too, no matter where I reside
I had to leave, she understands, but oh the tears she’s cried.

I thought that if I wrote you, that you would come to know
that though I live in heaven now, I still love my mother so.
She talks with me, and dreams with me; we still share laughter too,
Memories our way of speaking now, would you see what you could do?

My mother carries me in her heart, her tears she hides from sight.
She writes poems to honor me, sometimes far into the night
She plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells
She writes to other grieving parents, trying to ease their pain as well.

So you see Mr. Hallmark, though I no longer live on earth
I must find a way, to remind her of her wondrous worth
She needs to be honored, and remembered too
Just as the children of earth will do.

Thank you Mr. Hallmark, I know you’ll do your best
I have done all I can do; to you I’ll leave the rest.
Find a way to tell her, how much she means to me
Until I can do it for myself, when she joins me in eternity.

A dear friend sent this to me on Mothers day.  Even though it is not biblical y correct and even brought tears to my eyes,  I thought it was beautiful and wanted to share it with other grieving Moms.
Bless you

Life...

Wow it has been so long since I have been on here.  Some how life picked up its pace and months seem to fly by.
I have met some great Christians here and I am need of some encouragement.  You know those seasons when you feel like God is so far away you cant reach Him... Those seasons when your prayers seem to crash on the ceiling...  I know every season has a reason but honestly this one has been long and exhausting.   How about this when you have a thought that honestly isn't even the way you think and then the enemy seems to get a hold of it now there is this battle you find yourself capturing the thought casting it down,  rebuking it and even repenting and around and around we go.  where is the VICTORY.
I know some of you have been there and I am thinking if you just got out of this season maybe you have some advice for me...

LOVE THE BOOK OF ROMANS... BE ENCOURAGED!!!!

Sometimes the pain is to fresh to wrap your mind around this...  But please have faith that in the most difficult trials, events, and tragedies.  Our God, the KING OF KINGS is already working and is by your side.  He will give you Treasures in the Tragedy and even a way to kick the enemy right in the face.  Which makes me happy...  We need to always remember WE WIN....

You may not understand everything that’s going on in your life right now, but I encourage you to keep your head held high. Know that God is working in your life.  Be faithful. do the right thing, knowing that in the end God is going to turn things around in your favor. If God is for you, who can be against you? No one. Greater is the One who is in you than anyone who can be against you. No matter what’s going on around you today, you can put a smile on your face, knowing God is working things together for your good because He loves you!
"and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose"    Romans 8:28
The Book of Romans is an awesome book to read. Study and just get in you....

SPEAK LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Think before you speak!
Negative, fearful, bitter words are like rotten fruit.
POSITIVE, FAITH-FILLED WORDS ARE THE PATH TO NEW AND WONDERFUL SEASONS OF LIFE!!!!
"God Your word says that You are for me, and because YOU are for me, no one can stand against me."
"Father, YOU promised to never leave me or forsake me.  Even when I can't feel it.  Even when it feels like the world's against me.  YOU ARE WITH ME!!
Now that is good stuff...
Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death,  and those who love it will eat of it's fruit.

 was ugly
Joseph was abused

Gideon was afraid
Sampson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
 Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small

AND Lazarus was dead!

No more excuses now!! God can use you to your full potential. Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.

IF THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS A CHANCE AT US - HE CAN MAKE SOMETHING OF US

DEVOTION---

God will indeed lead you out of the wilderness.  The wilderness experience of these past years have been hard for you.  Many of Gods people have been wounded and lost hope, and some have even lost faith.  But, God said that in this season you shall regain all that you have lost, and you shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  God will bring blessings to you to demonstrate not only His goodness, but it shall be a sign that what He has spoken to  you is true and shall come to pass....  Encourage Yourself--  Encourage Yourself!!!!  Forget those things that are behind you, GET ready for a great crossing-over, for your are about to cross over into a new level of anointing, power and glory.  There will be a greater demonstration of Gods kingdom...  All that is required of you is to rise up and say,  "I'm going!  I'm going with the Lord... I'm going to cross over into the goodness of the Lord."

DON'T EVER FORGET IN THE DARK WHAT GOD HAS SHOWN YOU IN THE LIGHT!!!!!

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THE SEED?

The crowds have left, family members have gone home, the casseroles have quit showing up and the boys are back at school.
I sit here at home with reality settling in.  In the quite, stillness of that moment a mass amount of of emotions begin to come to the surface.  I knell down in front of a table that we all put together, there are photo's of Cody, his sport trophies, his shoes, a little waterfalls, the Bible and a box which contains Cody's ashes.  I begin to cry and cry out,  "Lord why me, why Cody?  Where do I go from here?  Even a plead to take me cause this pain is more than I can bare."
I hear the softest voice full of compassion and love reply...  "Why not you?  You have a box of ashes and a seed... Gail, what are you going to do with the seed?

It is a disillusion and even a down right lie from the enemy that causes us to believe we are exempt from tragedy.  So as the Lord asked me I would have to ask you.  When tragedy strikes we are always left with a seed.  What have you done with your seeds???
Something to think about...

Blessings

THE JOURNEY

June 29 2006  ( 2 months into my grief journey )

Straight from my journal....
THE JOURNEY
I can't stay here,  I must move forward-
Time keeps moving forward and so must I-
I can't stay here cause Gods word is always going forward...
Philippians 3:14
Paul says that he moved forward towards "the upward call of God in Christ Jesus"
It is my walk with God that will move me forward into a larger life with God....
The Lords plan for my life is pure and simple, specially during this time of grief.  He has shown me...
Oh Gail, what is good:  and what does the Lord require of me  But to do justly.   To love  Mercy and to walk humbly with my God.
My Prayer...
Lord may I humbly walk with You,  take my hand and guide me through every moment of every day.  Anoint my mind-mouth-hands and feet.  Let me not miss what You are doing in me and my sons in this process.  Lord download wisdom in me as I truly don't know how to handle the things that are ahead of me...  keep me covered as I walk so very Raw- fill my loneliness with Your presents, fill my mind with Your thoughts, forgive me for my anger as I release it to You... fill my spirit with power as I witness to others  and Lord fill my family with HOPE again -Let us not forget Your call on our lives. I pray for good relationships as many have walked away and keep us healthy.  Help us to be a good witness- let us believe what we say- let us witness You at work through us...  Bottom line is I can't survive with out you....  In Jesus name Amen

It has been years since I looked at this prayer and wow I think I will continue to pray it....   Blessings
